The 3rd Aliağa International Port Management and Logistics Summit was held at Aliağa, recognized as one of the most important areas of Turkey in sea trade. Several names including Secretary General Takdir Yarış and Petlim Operation Manager Süleyman Çokan attended to the meeting held at Aliağa Chamber of Commerce.

 

Suggestions were presented within the scope of the meeting for improving the efficiency of the port services and establishing a competition environment in Turkey. The investment climate and opportunities in Turkey were discussed in addition to Aliağa hinterland analysis and potential business investment opportunities, international transport corridors, ports, Turkish straits, and Aliağa.

 

Logistics sector contributes to the country’s economy

 

The preparations for the next year’s summit were also discussed during the evaluation of the summit meeting, which was told by the participants to be very effective for the sector.

 

The latest developments in quickly developing port and logistics sectors in Aliağa and Turkey were discussed during the meeting. Discussing the problems and solutions to them in detail, the participants stated that they were pretty satisfied with the summit. ALTO Secretary General Takdir Yarış said, “With the Summit, we are aiming to draw attention to the existing potential of the region, and benefit from the impacts of the logistics developments in the world.”
